Collaborative Consumption: What´s mine is yours

The 20th century was the age of hyper consumption – the 21th could become the age of collaborative consumption, thus improving the ecological and social footprint of mankind. Collaborative consumption is an interesting mix of social media/web 2.0 and real world applications that help people to share, swap or trade online. Designers of all possible kinds must and can help find a healthy balance between the needs of consumers, companies and the collective interest of society.
