During this current period of accelerated change, it has become increasingly clear that design offers a lot to the business world. To designers, it is easy to see why. Design clarifies vague, ambiguous situations. Design builds tangible, meaningful solutions that address latent, unarticulated needs of real people. Design even creates productive collaboration among unlikely players within organisations. And yet, many organizations are still often either too slow or too mired in old ways of operating to make use of what design can offer. This talk will tell some success stories and offer a few insights about how design and designers can help catalyse organisations and make them more dynamic, open to growth, change, and potentially even to happiness.
